List five purchases that changed your life for the better, however small: a used bike, therapy sessions, noise-cancelling headphones, a watercolor set, a train ticket to visit someone dear. Write what each gave you—connection, focus, health, creativity, freedom. Circle recurring values and underline the feelings you want more often. These stories become decision anchors. Next time a shiny ad whispers, compare it to your five stories. If it echoes that meaning, proceed. If not, tenderly decline.
